About me
Charlie Immer (b. 1983) is a visual artist who combines psychedelic color, anatomical imagery, smooth rendering, and restrained emotional tone to create images of quiet tension. He earned his BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2008.
His work is influenced by medical illustration, Super Mario, horror iconography, FRUIT, and altered states of awareness. Through these lenses, he explores themes of transformation, decay, and the relationship between the body and the psyche.
His paintings are detailed, disorienting, and reflective. He makes work for people drawn to the magic of looking inward — those who find comfort in stillness, strangeness, and slow looking.
He lives and works in Los Angele
